15 Projects in Jakarta are Showcased at the 2022 Jakarta Investment Forum

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - A total of 15 projects in Jakarta will be offered to investors at the 2022 Jakarta Investment Forum (JIF), which will be held on Thursday (09/01/2022).

Based on data from the Jakarta Investment Agency and One Stop Integrated Service (DPMPTSP) on Tuesday, 15 projects that will be offered to investors include the Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF) at Sunter, LRT Jakarta Phase 2A (Jakarta International Stadium-Rajawali), LRT Jakarta Phase 3A (Jakarta International Stadium-Rajawali), MRT Phase 3 (East-West), and MRT Phase 4 (Fatmawati-TMII).

Then there are also the South Jakarta Mix-Used Development project, TransJakarta Electric Bus, Charging Station, Seribu Islands-Eco Resort and Eco Theme Park, Medical Tourism for the Elderly (Health Tourism for Seniors), Landmark Jakarta, Tanah Abang Primer Center, Rooftop Solar Panel Power Plant, Hazardous and Toxic Waste (B3) Installation, and Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP) Masterplan Inc. Plot 4 Projects.

The projects themselves are projects that are also initiated by seven Jakarta regional enterprises (BUMD), namely PT MRT Jakarta, PT Transportation Jakarta, PT Jakarta Propertindo, PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (Persero), PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP), Jakarta Experience Board (JXB), and Perumda Sarana Jaya.

Tona Hutauruk, Head of Jakarta Investment Center Management Unit (JIC) at DPMPTSP Jakarta, said the 2022 Jakarta Investment Forum (JIF) will be a forum to promote potential projects in Jakarta.

This is done by facilitating potential investors with regional enterprises project owners and related Regional Apparatuses through Networking Sessions and Meet the Leaders.

"JIF 2022 is expected to be opened by the Governor of Jakarta, Mr. Anies Baswedan, followed by a main discussion with the theme of \'Investing in Resilience\' by presenting international and national speakers. Participants can also explore potential Jakarta projects offered through the Project Booth which is available throughout the year at the event," Tona said.

Bennin Aguscandra, Head of Jakarta DPMPTSP, said that JIF 2022, which carries the theme "Investing in Resilience", is a collaboration between his office and the U20 Mayors Summit and Bank Indonesia. "JIF 2022 is expected to be attended by more than 400 participants, consisting of embassies of foreign countries, representatives of government agencies, representatives of regional owned enterprises, international organizations, chambers of commerce, investors, private parties or business actors, associations and non-profit organizations, as well as other stakeholders," he said.

Furthermore, Benni mentioned that as an integrated event, JIF 2022 and U20 focuses on two main issues, namely post-pandemic challenges and climate change.

"The theme of JIF 2022 is Investing in Resilience, in line with the Jakarta Provincial Development Plan 2023-2026 which aims to create a city regeneration that is resilient and sustainable, and open up investment opportunities based on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)," he said.

Furthermore, Benni disclosed that through the collaboration of various parties, JIF 2022 is proof of the Jakarta Provincial Government\'s commitment to climate change and the transformation of Jakarta into a greener and livable city.

"JIF 2022 will discuss investment opportunities in Jakarta, such as Sustainable Food System, Waste Management through Circular Economy, and Green Investment Public Private Partnership (PPP)to encourage sustainable projects, and collaborate with the British Embassy to present thematic discussions, with the theme Funding Infrastructure: Unlocking Multi-Resources in Structuring the Project," Benni added.

Meanwhile, Onny Widjanarko, Head of the Jakarta Province Bank Indonesia Representative Office, said the economic recovery of Jakarta is estimated to continue. Economic growth in 2022 is estimated to grow by 5.3 percent to 6.1 percent.

"Therefore, we welcome and fully support the implementation of the 2022 Jakarta Investment Forum, and hope that this momentum can be used optimally by opening up investment opportunities to support the potential and sources of new economic growth," Onny said.
