Green Industrial Park in North Kalimantan to be Completed by 2026

IDXChannel - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) recently visited the Indonesian Industrial Park in Bulungan, North kalimantan. This 13,000 hectare industrial area will house battery factories as well as elctric vehicles (EV), petrochemicals and aluminum industries.

Jokowi is optimistic that the entire industrial park area will be completed by 2026 or no later than 2027. The President also wants to ensure that investors who want to build factories in the industrial area will not face any problems.

It will be supported by green energy, by renewable energy, by hydropower from Mentarang and Kayan rivers in North Kalimantan, he said.

Furthermore, the president believes that the industrial park area will become the largest environmentally friendly industrial area in the world. Jokowi also hopes that the development of industries in the industrial park area will be able to produce environmentally
friendly products that can compete globally.

This will be the strength of the Indonesian Industrial Park in North Kalimantan. This is the largest green industrial park in the world. This is the future of Indonesia, he added.
